Loop Asset Management has acquired Abbey Trade Park and Abbey Industrial Park in Mansfield on behalf of a new capital partner, the second investor Loop has acted for since launching two years ago.
Redeveloped in 2008, the estate comprises approximately 58,000 sq ft across 11 units on a 4.9-acre site. It is fully occupied and let to 13 tenants including Travis Perkins, Screwfix and YESSS Electrical. The two estates sit within Mansfield's principal industrial and trade counter location, with 1.3 million people within a 30-minute drive. The acquisition was supported by debt finance from Rothschild & Co.
Alex Dunkley, co-founder of Loop, said: “The acquisition aligns with our strategy of acquiring assets below replacement cost in strong regional locations with near-term asset management opportunities. Acting for a second capital partner is evidence of the business moving into its next phase of growth.”
Julia Moore, Director at Rothschild & Co, said: “We were delighted to support Loop and its private investors with this acquisition. We were impressed with Alex and Joe's thoroughness and professionalism throughout, which contributed to a swift and efficient transaction process. We look forward to exploring further opportunities with Loop in the future.”
Since launching, Loop has acquired six multi-let industrial estates across regional UK locations, totalling 155,000 sq ft, on behalf of two capital partners. MK2 Real Estate will provide property management services. Ashurst, Forsters and MAPP advised Loop on the acquisition. Rothschild & Co was advised by Gunner Cooke.
